Congregational Goals
Congregational goals are in the Bylaws and related congregational documents.
The Church Board also develops for the year, which are posted in this section.
September 6, 2023, E-Blast Church Board Update
Dear Church Community,
Welcome back from summer! This church year got off to a robust start for our Board as we held our retreat with Rev. Donna. The purpose of the day was to get to know one another more deeply, collaborate with our new minister, set goals for this year, and have fun. Rev. Donna opened the retreat with a moving Worship Centering, which included: music, meditation, and reflection. This was a spiritual experience that was inspiring, grounding and love centered. It was the perfect start for the new church year.
We share with you the Board’s five goals for this church year:
1. Increase our presence in the community through outreach and visibility. (Susan Burnett leads, Cheryl Ring, assists)
2. Develop a vision of how our physical plant should look and be, then develop and implement a work plan to address these needs. (Hal Booth leads with Harry Grimmnitz and Susan Burnett assisting)
3. Develop opportunities for more engagement in life of the congregation. Identify many ways for people to support and participate with the UUCC, for example: create opportunities for different levels of engagement. (All Board Members)
4. Develop and implement a safety and security plan. (Jim Caldwell leads)
5. Complete the bylaws revision and present to congregation for vote. (Cheryl Ring leads)
As we did last year, we will review our goals at our monthly Board Meetings beginning September 14, 2023.
Please contact any of us if you are curious to know more about our work or to participate in any of the activities related to realizing these goals.
Grateful to be in Community with you,
Michaela Loisel, Board President
Along with: Susan Burnett, Vice-President; Cheryl Ring, Clerk; Nancy Fritz, Treasurer; Harry Grimmnitz, Finance Chair; Hal Booth and Jim Caldwell, Members At-Large
